    Hello fellow 90 Minders!

Your Education Committee is looking for any of our members who are currently using AI in your daily routine.  We want to hear from anyone who would like to share with the rest of us during our "Leveraging AI" session.  We would love to hear from consultants, developers, account managers, and yes, even those rockstar salespeople using AI to automate tasks, answer emails, summarize meetings, plan projects, or whatever it may be that would be useful for your friends at MOTM to hear and learn about.

I have already recruited @Wayne Schulz and @Jim Woodhead to share some of what they do and the tools they use, but we need others to participate to make this much more meaningful and valuable for all our members.  I suspect this is a hot topic and will be well attended.

If you are using AI, please let us know by replying to this post or replying to me directly.  Also, if you are willing to share at MOTM, please let us know that too.  Feel free to tell us what you are doing here and what tools you use.  We will compile a list and decide how best to proceed at MOTM.

Thank you for your attention to this topic, and please reply as soon as possible.

I think this would be a great session! While I am here, I thought I would offer a prompt for those of you who have not gotten started with AI or want to up your game.

First, log in to / sign up for the AI of your choice. (It really doesn't matter all that much. I primarily ise ChatGPT.)

Copy and paste the following prompt, replacing the portion in brackets:

    -------------

You are an AI assistant helping me excel at my job as a [insert your role - e.g., implementation consultant for Sage 100, project manager, marketing director].

First, ask me 10 targeted questions to gain a deeper understanding of my work, goals, biggest challenges, and preferred communication style. Ask me one question at a time.

Then, based on my answers, create a personalized AI usage guide for me that includes:

    1. Example prompts I can use for daily, weekly, and long-term tasks.
    2. Tips for refining my prompts to get better results.
    3. Pitfalls to avoid when using AI in my profession.
    4. A list of advanced use cases I might not have considered.
    5. A plan for how I can progressively master AI over the next 30 days.

@Ed Kless - this is a great prompt. It tends to come back - to quote Peter Wolf - a mile wide and an inch deep on some subjects but it gives a real kick start to anything you may be looking to focus on. The 10 targeted questions alone are enough to start you thinking.

Chat GPT Pulse - which is only available with GPT $200 Pro Subscription also provides a daily dashboard of topics you ask it to research. It similarly prompts you to provide it with things you want to know more about.

What makes this so fascinating is that I only see these systems getting better over time

The timing of your preparation is good. I've been using ChapGPT to enhance reporting solutions with Excel and Power Query. I am utterly amazed at the complexity of problems that can be solved with its ability to generate sophisticated M language queries. Some over 200 lines in length. I've recently used it to match large customer payment files with Sage open invoice tables that import into Cash Receipts Entry. These payment files are littered with typos and corruption that was taking personnel 90% of their time to sort out. Now, just a few minutes. For me, the challenge is all about asking the right question and validating the AI response. I'm providing much better value for little extra effort and I'm being taught new skills.
