  • 1.  Legacy Payroll import job

    I am trying to import into payroll data entry.  Line 1 is a fixed earnings code (01) and line 2 is a fixed deduction code (PH).  I have written two import jobs that are linked together.  First one import earnings and second  one imports deductions.  The deduction codes are not importing correctly.  I get the line type of D but the deduction code does not enter.  I can manually enter the two lines with the exact same information. Does anyone have an import job that I can cheat from?

    Absolutely Jeff.  The VI job itself was straight forward but it appeared that the deduction code was overwriting the earnings code.  I set up two VI jobs and chained them together.  Job 1 imported earnings code and job 2 imported deductions code.  The trick was added the entries on the Records tab to distinguish which lines in the source file was an earnings type and which was a deductions type.  (Sage KB Solution ID:  21326)
