Left-field question. I've shown a customer JobOps with the mobile app to issue materials to jobs from the field. The mobile app allows entry of time onto jobs. The customer wants a way to validate time entered on jobs against payroll time. Nothing from Scanco does that. Nothing from any provider does that, as far as I know. Agree? Disagree?

Are you looking for realtime validation or something to compare when running the PR? Is the PR information coming from a JO feed?

You know, let's scrap this. I think they're imagining some sort of system that allows job time entry that feeds payroll, and forces full distribution of time to jobs. That's not going to happen. I just told them that we can write a report for manual reconciliation and that they will need to be satisfied with that.

@KarenOLane can I ask? What exactly did show your client related to posting material and labor from the field in JobOps? What do you refer to as the ""mobile app""? Is it he new Technician Dashboard (we have been waiting for); or is it JOScan, or is it something different?

@MadelineStefanou - It was JOScan. Field Service isn't available for mobile devices yet, and it only allows one technician on a job at a time.

I used TimeForce II for a customer to track hours to jobs. We used Sales Order numbers and item codes which become jobs numbers and tasks respectively, easily could be job numbers instead. Auto-scheduled the export/import of Sales Order and Items to TimeForce and new 'jobs' were created automatically. Workers logged in to TimeForce with web interface, clocking in/out of jobs. TimeForce exports to many formats for Payroll processing including, Sage, Paychex, ADP, QuickBooks PR, etc. They've changes the name from TimeForce ti ISolvedtime https://www.isolvedtime.com/time_and_attendance/timeforce#benefits

@KarenOLane; I have been thinking about your comment above, that the demo you saw ""only allows one technician on a job at a time""; and I do not believe that is accurate or correct information. I reached out to Joe Bisaha, to confirm. The Technician Dashboard for Scanco (JobOps) FSD (Field Service and Dispatch) is designed so that the job is scheduled to a user, and that user can post transactions to the Service Ticket. (I expect this product to be released shortly, I hear it is in Beta Testing). If two guys are in the field on the same service call, user A logs in and tracks, then logs out. User B logs in and tracks, then logs off. Meaning multiple users can be on the same service ticket at the same time, and multiple users can use the same field device; logging in as themselves. I would suggest reaching out to @DarinSteward if you have any questions regarding this functionality.
