About a month ago, our office changed our domain and caused a problem with a demo instance of Standard Sage v2016 I have on my local C drive. I double click the shortcut and the login screen pops up. I put in my credentials and hit enter twice to login and the launcher never appears. I look in task manager and Sage is running, but no where to be seen, not even on the task bar. I have another instance of v2015 Sage within the same folder on my C drive and when I log into that instance, the launcher appears. So I thought it might just be corrupted v2016 instance. I installed v2019 onto my C drive and had the same results at v2016, I could log in, but no launcher. Right clicking and running the shortcut as admin does not work either. The only way the launcher will appear is if I hold Ctl+Shift and run the shortcut as a different user using an admin user. If I login using that admin user, the launcher pops up.
The user I'm running it on is a part of the administrators group. The directory on the C drive has full control for "Everybody". Our IT Team has created a new user profile for me and that didn't resolve the issue. I have pushed out permissions again for that directory as well as to a few different places in the registry and on the C drive. Nothing has worked. This only started happening when we changed domains.
I would have given up on this until a customer reached out to me last week with the same exact issue. The launcher will only appear when we run the shortcut with a different user with higher permissions.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas on what to try, what to look for? Thanks,
