  • 1.  Launcher Closing

    New issue with the Launcher randomly closing. Only happening at one client, so I think it is an environmental issue. Version is Sage 2020.3 Advanced. Checked att eh usual subjects, using Wifi, AV, NIC settings and found nothing.

    Anyone run across this?

    I dealt with the same thing with just one user on 6.20.3 Advanced.  They only have 2 users and the one that connects remotely didn't have any issues.  I tried a whole list of things over several weeks.  Each time we would think it was resolved and then all of a sudden it would happen again.  She would be in the middle of data entry and suddenly the entry window would close as she was typing.  Or the entry window would stay open but the main Sage window would close and lock everything up.  Knock on wood, I haven't gotten a call since 9/7.  That day we:

    1. Added "*\Documents\Sage 100" to anti-virus exception list
    2. Disabled Windows Defender on her PC
    3. Added "C:\Sage\Sage 100 Workstation\MAS90\Home\pvxwin32.exe" to Windows Firewall exception list

    I've seen it with Automatic Logoff turned on, even when they haven't reached their inactive minutes. Had to turn it off completely.

    Didn't exclude the Sage 100 client folder. Will report results fr excluding this in AV.

    To close this thread, the solution was adding the exclusions Mary Jo listed. Exclude the "..\Documents\Sage 100"  and the client folder ("C:\Sage\Sage 100 Workstation") in the AV software and add the client program "..\MAS90\Home\pvxwin32.exe" to Windows Firewall exception list. 

    I'm adding the above configuration to all our Sage 100 installs.

    I had this situation occurring on several workstations on two separate client installations.  Applying the exclusions above seemed to resolve the issue.  Thanks!
