For those who can't see picture. Sage CRM Organizational Announcement I want to personally thank each Sage SalesLogix and SageCRM business partner for your efforts over this past fiscal year. Your performance positions us well for the year ahead. As we complete FY11 and look to FY12, the following organizational changes to the Sage CRM sales management team are effective today; Vice President Jeff Gregorec, Senior Director Seth Ellertson, and Directors Jeffrey Woods and Robert Fierros are no longer with Sage. We thank Jeff and the sales managers for their contributions to our success over the years and wish them well. We have begun a search to replace the roles as needed and will move to fill them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, Donna Armstrong, Vice President, will lead the Sage CRM sales team on an interim basis. Thank you once again for your commitment to Sage. Please contact Donna at donna.armstrong@sage.com for any questions you may have during this transition period. Regards, Pascal Houillon President and CEO Sage North America

Can I predict that they wind up at SugarCRM?

My guess is that they are folding the CRM team (Sage CRM and Saleslogix) up under the Mid-market group which is frightening since they don't really understand CRM. I didn't care for Jeff G. - mainly because he marginalized SageCRM (although I understood why he chose to do this, I didn't appreciate it). That being said, I saw Jeff G. work his magic once on a prospect and the guy knows selling. Woods too. All four of those guys are awesome and hard-working. From my perspective, this is probably good news as SageCRM will probably rise even further now that the old SLX guard is gone but really it's a struggle to find good in this announcement.

@JimWoodhead - To answer your question: no. No one left. Strategic sales is gone too which is very disconcerting since a lot of partners - even the larger SLX partners brought them in from time to time.

@PeterWolf your predictions are bad luck omens... watch for SageCRM to be sold or moved to the value division ;-)

I'm predicting that Pascal's announcement will be: ""Dear channel - your services are no longer needed. Pack your things and go. Yours truly, Pascal

Hey Peter, were any of these guys the ones we had dinner with?

No - those guys were from Dublin. This group was from Scottsdale. I'm speaking to my sales rep for my weekly call today. I'll see what they know. I already received an email stating that they were terminated and the group is as much in the dark as we are. It's easy to shake heads in disbelief - I know because I'm doing it - but I can also see how it turns into a clusterfuck so fast too. It's not like they can announce anything a head of time because everyone will know. And after the fact if they say anything but a perfunctory message, they open themselves up to a lawsuit. Do we run our businesses based on fear of lawsuits or based on doing right by our partners and customers? I prefer the latter but maybe Sage feels they cannot do that since they are a public company.
