Last week upgraded a client to v2014.4. Client has three remote locations that run Access and SAGE 100 ERP via a terminal server. When they launch several of their Access functions (a custom work order system) they get a pop-up update with a banner ""SAGE 100 Standard ERP 2014 Workstation"". In a DOS window you can see ""C:\Program Files\Common Files\BIGenerator\certmgr.exe"". The SAGE KB has several entries that talk about the BIGenerator is part of an Excel Add-in that works with Sage Intelligence. Of course they don't use or never installed SAGE Intelligence. Any ideas on how to make this unnecessary update go away?

Is Excel also installed on the Terminal Server? If so, check the add-ons list and see if BIGenerator add-on is set up there. If so, try removing it.

I used to get that pop-up update banner when I would run Crystal reports. The solution was always to reinstall the workstation. On occasion, I would even have to uninstall the workstation first. Not sure how to do that on Terminal Server, though.

@LouWagner I just checked and Excel and the whole Microsoft Office Suite is installed on the terminal server. Went into Excel and found the Report Designer Add-In was installed and checked (activated). I removed the Report Designer (from Alchemex) from the active Excel Add-Ins. Waiting for client to return from lunch to see if this works. Will let you know.

I ""unchecked"" the Report Designer Add-In 1.0.1 from Excel 2010. Had the client power down and reboot remote workstation. Remote workstation connected to Terminal Server and launched Access again, same ""SAGE 100 Standard ERP 2014 Workstation"" update started again. Trying to get through on SAGE Tech Support line.................

In 2014 Sage Intelligence installs as part of the workstation setup so it's on there. Maybe there is something in the Alchemex KB?

I believe this issue is no longer an SI issue but maybe a Sage 100 ERP 2014 STD workstation installation on a terminal server issue. Client is running terminal services on a Windows 2003 Standard OS. They have three remote locations. I always thought that installing the SAGE 100 workstation client on a terminal server was a one-and-done task. Meaning you install it once, and all locations see the same icon. Is it possible that each user login may have a different desktop profile? Do I need to install the SAGE 100 ERP 2014 workstation client remotely while logged in as each user? Do the different sessions that are created when logging into a terminal server cause issues when trying to install the workstation client? I guess need some guidance with installing Sage 100 ERP 2014 STD on a terminal server.

Terminal server installs should be one and done as you say. The only special requirement I am aware of for a terminal server install is to copy activate.pvx from the main server to the client install folder on the terminal server after the wksetup is done. Every user will have the Sage 100 icon in their start menu and be able to access the program from there.

When you install Sage 100 standard on a terminal server you use the multiuser or install mode so that it is installed for all users. You may need to copy the icon to user desktops depending how it's setup but the workstation client is installed once for all. To complete the v2014 install you need to install wksupdate also.
