Last week customer's (100 Adv v2015) eFiling was stuck in Demo Mode. I had installed the IRD the night before. Verified the keys, called Sage, replaced her SY_FormsforEfiling with mine and it worked. However today, while processing in another company code, it's stuck in Demo Mode again. I tried putting hers back in place with no success. It let her efile but she's doesn't have 'clean' copies of the W2's (they say Demo on them). Any Ideas?

We had this happen with a client who was not enrolled in the Payroll Subscription Plan. After enrolling and entering the new product keys, efiling is in active mode.

ahhh... This customer is not yet enrolled. I wondered if that might not be a problem. This could be an ugly January!! Happy Flippin New Year to us!

Customers were supposed to have until Feb/March to enroll, what is Sage trying to do to us?

My clients who migrated to Sage 100c are having to enroll in the Payroll Subscription Plan NOW!

Ugh! My customer is furious today. Wants to close payroll, doesn't want to make backups (really?). She is still on perpetual, not 100c.

I think the payroll only has to be renewed on their next renewal date which begin last Feb/March.

So customer's general renewal was 9/2016. They didn't enroll in payroll at that time. Registration shows unlimited.

They should have renewed 9/2016 for payroll. I think I posted a screen shot of what a payroll subscription looks like in the portal.

I agree with @NancyHanson. I thought that SAGE 100 Payroll users had to be enrolled by March 2017 or find another Payroll system.

**16. On what date do Sage 100/100c and Sage 300/300c customers need to subscribe to Sage U.S. Payroll?** Starting May 1, 2016, existing Sage 100/100c and Sage 300/300c U.S. Payroll module customers will be asked to subscribe to payroll on their Sage Business Care renewal date.

According to #31, my customer should be able to still eFile. 'Should' being the operative word. If that's true, then what else could be causing her system to stay in Demo Mode. On another note (and to test the theory), I was exchanging emails with another customer, also not yet on subscription and he was able to get in an update his forms without being in Demo Mode. What's interesting is that my 'stuck' customer had Aatrix do the full W2 processing and it did let her submit, I can't imagine the W2's from Aatrix will have Demo across them correct? She just can't seem to get an Employer Copy printed without Demo.

Well, a week later (took that long for Sage to process Payroll Enrollment), put new keys in client's system. First - the *Info Button still shows Unlimited Payroll and expiration 5/30/2017 which I think is different date than prior keys. But more important - eFiling is still stuck in Demo mode. ugh! How do I get it activated? Is there a file/table needing to be fixed?

Have you reviewed this KB as well as the one that seems specific to Adv? https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=20022&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&dialogID=71632&docType=kc&isLoadPublishedVer=&stateId=71634&docTypeID=DT_Article&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl

Description eFiling and Reporting Activation does not respond when clicking OK at the Verify Account Information window. Cause The Sage 100 ERP Advanced Application Server is running as a service with a user account that cannot see the activation file. This is typically caused when the LocalSystem (System) account is used for the host service. Resolution To resolve, change the logon for the Sage 100 ERP Advanced Application Server service to a domain account. A domain account must be used because the Application Server opens an ODBC connection when activating eFiling and Reporting that executes a UNC path to the ..\Mas90\ folder. By definition, the built-in Windows LocalSystem (System) account cannot execute UNC paths or mapped network drives. For more information see Related Article below, How to run Application Server or Host as a service for Sage 100 ERP Advanced If the error persists, run Sage 100 ERP Advanced in Sage 100 ERP Standard ""Sage MAS 90"" mode, and then process the activation. For details, see Related Article below, How to Run Sage 100 ERP Advanced in Sage 100 Standard ""MAS 90"" mode

I did try running it in MAS90 mode and as an application. They received new keys yesterday for payroll and activation was successful so shouldn't be a registration mismatch. I'm also doing this at the server rather than a workstation for now. So where is this activation file held? I even uninstalled/installed eFiling. The only thing I haven't really looked as is they have an enhancement from my company.
