Client new to labels.  Has a locally installed Zebra printer.  If you go into the printer via Printers in Windows, it shows a default label size of 4x6. When he attempts to print Inventory labels using that printer, they do not print correctly.  IF he goes into Setup EACH TIME before printing, the label size shows 4x3 and if he changes it, it works that time.  HOWEVER.... he is the only person printing labels, so where is this other size coming from?  In Crystal I have the No Printers and Dissociate Formatting blah check boxes checked. (I can't see his printer from the server where I created the form.)

It's been decades since I had my hands physically on a Zebra printer, but hearing from others, there might be settings in the printer itself that come into play.  It isn't just the Windows print object.

Printing from CR to a Zebra is notoriously difficult.  That's why programs like BarTender are often used.

    Good luck!

I highly recommend the robust and dependable BarTendor which can be driven with scripting.

You might try a different brand of print driver.  Try a Loftware Zebra driver.  https://drivers.loftware.com/brand/zebra

Maybe a better driver choice is the Seagull Scientific (Bartender) drive for Zebra.

Sometimes I've had to make a completely new form for the printer, even if 4x6 is a normal size it already has. Making a new form in Printer > Printer Preferences > Manage and then adding that as the default every place it stores that value has worked for me in the past. It is frustrating because printers seem to store things under advanced, and then also under settings, and also manage, and every printer is different and likes to hide stuff. You also might have to attach the new custom form to the Crystal Report to make everything work. All printers are possessed by minor demons but label printers seem to go above and beyond.

Thanks to everyone - will have IT try various things next week (because it's tied down too tight for me to be able to do anything)

So I have found where it was setup incorrectly - on the RDS. Now I'm waiting on IT to fix it for me.  Client had it installed locally and was running Sage as an RDS app so I screwed up which printer I was looking at when I looked at the default.
