  • 1.  KS Service Issues

    I am struggling with a client's KS v10.06 system. We have a recurring issue (once every 1-2 weeks) with the service that rotates between not restarting itself after some event on the server (sometimes a reboot, sometimes unknown) or an issue where the service shows as starting and alerts are pending in queue but they cannot finish until I stop all KS processes via Task Manager and then restart the service. IT Support has said that they see nothing in the Windows Event Logs so have not been able to provide any assistance. I am not sure if there could be anything useful in the KS logs that would point to an underlying cause but I have submitted a support case to ECI asking if they can review the logs. I'm assuming this is an environmental issue but over the last year, I've upgraded them from v9 > v10.05 > v10.06 hoping that newer program files will help but they do not. Has anyone seen this type of problem with services in general or KS specifically? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks, Wayne, but I don't have that KS_Util.exe issue or that the service won't restart. When I get the Error 1053, I typically have to resolve it by a reinstall of the KS program files. This client issue is different where the service shows as started sometimes but nothing is happening. Lights are on but no one's home :D
