Knowledgesync renewal - Just received a notice dir

Knowledgesync renewal - Just received a notice directly from Vineyard Soft requesting business care renewal for KS. Client is still perpetual. Didn't Sage handle this in the past? Is this another do less for more initiative? Vineyard is dinging them for two years. Apparently, they lapsed last year (Sage forgot). At least there is not late penalty (yet). What ever happened to the Sage alerts being part of the Sage umbrella?

This is charged through the maintenance renewal for perpetual. For subscription (100c), there is a separate charge - by Sage. (At least that's the way it is supposed to happen, but the Sage Twilight Zone may be in force.)

Jeff, I get one to two maintenance renewal notices a month. Have been for several years. (We probably have 40 to 50 customers on ksync.) I don't believe Sage has been collecting maintenance on the product.

Every time I reached out to Vineyard about this they come back saying that their report is wrong and sage renewed it. But the report keeps showing the customer expired.

Since Sage continues to fail at posting tier (and margin at times), why would we expect this is being handled properly? I say it's between VineyardSoft and Sage.

Why is it branded Sage Alerts if Sage is going to be responsible for collecting the fees. Have asked Vineyard for clarification.

Jeff, based upon responses from @JohnHoyt and @ToddMartin, I'm going to have to confirm with our guy who manages all of our maintenance renewals and maintenance/subscription payments from Sage.

We recently received two renewals from Vineyardsoft, billed the clients and when we tried to pay Vineyardsoft they said it is supposed to go through Sage. Both clients have converted to 100c. Since one had expired in December I asked that they follow up with Sage and let me know what to do. That was last week, no updates since.

Just sent my response back to Vineyard, included my RSM on it. I hope I don't get a nasty note back from her asking me to stop sending her hate mail.

Reminds me of that lame Abbot and Costello skit we saw last Friday morning.

@JeffSchwenk You will get a nasty note back from her, because that's now her mission. She'll probably also blame you for not being able to properly service her other partners. With an attitude like that, there's probably a position for her at the IRS.

@JeffSchwenk I miss being copied on all those e-mails. I'm not sure why she did Reply All without knowing who I am. Tell her I'm the ""good cop""!

I agree you get the vineyard soft renewal notice even though it's through Sage. And I agree it's separate from 100c. So when people move to c, their Alerts, EDI, Shipping, FAS and a bunch of other things become islands.
