Knowledgesync New install - anyone install version 8? I am not seeing the hermes email server being installed and there is no hermes under the knowledgesync folder. computer is a windows server 2000 and their local IIS SMTP server will not start gives error and they use godaddy for internet email and it requires authentication so that is out since knowledgesync does not support authentication anyone see this or have workaround?

Have you discussed with Don Farber? He answers questions such as this pretty quick.

It works with gmail so I'd think it should work with godaddy.

Don should be contacting you shortly. Was talking with him about our upgrade when this came in and I let him know. Said he would be in touch.

Don - contacted me yeah! they did take out the internal hermes server in ver 8. And I was looking a ver 7 manual for setting up. FYI - their knowledge base articles have conflicting info such as on the email authentication some say it is not available and then Jeff found one on how to setup. So key is getting the right articles. FYI - ver 8 manual has the correct settings in there too. So lesson is have currentl manual - I am good now!
