Be sure to setup a new ODBC Connection to Sage and us it in the KLF. This way you can "save" the Sage user id and password.
In the KLF, the setup should use this connection and not the SOTAMAS90.
____
In the following example we will be using the following variables
Company Name – ABC
LogIn – sherman
Password – mrpeabody
Many times we see the credentials do not stick in the Providex ODBC System DSN for some reason, so you may have to repeat this exercise. Nothing to be done, simply a conflict with Windows/MS Access and the Providex ODBC Driver.
Create a 32 Bit Providex ODBC System DSN named:
ABC_PVX ("Company name" with _PVX suffix)
We generally clone the SOTAMAS90 User DSN and add the LogIn information
Do not name it SOTAMAS90.
Do not set it to "Silent Mode"
Create a 32 Bit Providex ODBC System DSN.
"Test Connection."
Make sure you do not see any Login Prompts.
Stop the KnowledgeSync Windows service.
Delete the MS Access Linked ODBC SYSTEM DSN.
Delete the MS Access ODBC Linked Database used by the MS Access ODBC SYSTEM DSN..
In the Event Manager
Highlight the Application using Linked Database.
"Properties"
Hit the dropdown.
See if you have multiple Identically named Connections out there.
If you do, delete them
If not, delete the Connection associated with MS Access Linked Database.
Open the Event Manager
Relink.
Verify that the MS Access Linked Database has been created successfully.
Recreate the MS Access Linked ODBC SYSTEM DSN using the new Linked Database.
Close the Event Manager
Open the Event Manager
Highlight the Application using the Linked Database.
"Properties"
New Connection.
Grab the newly created MS Access ODBC SYSTEM DSN.
Test a Query to make sure the LogIn prompts are gone.
