KnowledgeSync Installation on WIN 2008 32 OS server. Keep encountering installation error 1303 & 1317 when trying to install KS to a path that was not the default path. For housekeeping purposes, I wanted to install under the Sage folder but only the default path worked. Errors encountered indicated that I did not have sufficient rights to install even though I was the administrator and I said to run as administrator during installation. Surprisingly, the KS KB turned up goose eggs when searching on error 1303 or error 1317.

I don't have direct experience. BUT, we've run into similar rights-based BS on Windows 8. Do ensure that you can R/W into the destination folder. Sometimes local Admin is really hard to get full rights even though part of the domain admins.
