    The newsletter Jeff is referring to is my Schulz Says newsletter. I publish mid-day every Thursday. I try to capture as much information as possible which is new: 

    • KB articles that  that seem new or noteworthy
    • New relevant Sage Partner Hub info - sometimes this is webinars other times announcements that are going to customers, etc
    • Older Sage 100 tips that are worth remembering - like links to online help or "what's new" collections
    • I also spend a disturbing amount of time searching for news that seems to slip through the cracks like Scanco announcing PM+ ( TBD what that means ) or V-Technologies being acquired by Aptean
    • Then about every day or so I check the Sage executive team list to see who is new and who dropped ( if anyone ) 
    • That's supplemented by near-constant scanning of LinkedIn for announcements and news ( which is where Don Farber initially announced his departure).
    • For a year I subscribed to the LinkedIn Sales Navigator as that seems to be the primary way to see if people are leaving/arriving at companies - although I found many executives don't bother to update their LinkedIn ( like Blair Crump who is still listed as President of Sage despite retiring about a year ago)
    • Quite a bit of time I just stare at some of the news -- like hosting X3 and CRE together in a November 2021 conference - and wonder what Sage is thinking ( I don't think X3 offers a realistic CRE solution nor is CRE likely a solution for X3 so why these two together except maybe to fulfill some contractual speaker and site obligation?

    I spotted this morning that Sage added a KB entry Can Sage 100 run with stateless workstations or virtual desktops?
    I have a customer running Sage 100 on VDI using v2019 Premium. it definitely runs but getting it to run is another matter ( I know that IT did a bunch of tweaks to support it ). If I recall I think they swap in and out that local \sage and fo anyone who is using Sage Intelligence I think they have to give them a custom desktop that doesn't reset with every login.

    About VDI, I passed along the Sage KB article to a new customer's IT person, and their reply was:

    "The document is specifically referencing "stateless workstations or virtual desktops".  We've identified that we can apply persistence in our VDI infrastructure and will make sure it's set to on for remote users who need it."

    I have no idea if it will work, but I guess we'll see.
