  • 1.  Keynote Proposal from Julian Schrenzel

    Posted 09-21-2023 14:08
Hi everyone - This is what I received from Julian.   Please feel free to comment - I will add it to our next agenda.  Thanks!
Below I am laid out an outline of a 90-minute Keynote for 90Minds upcoming event, with an add-on workshop option if you're interested. My vision for the add-on workshop is for it to actually be a networking event, but specifically designed for attendees to use the new tools and learning they've received from the keynote to make for an advanced networking opportunity. I believe this will be extremely well received and directly beneficial to all attendees in a way that most events are not today.
Also, because this kind of highly experiential event is really different from what folks are used to at an ERP/technical summit, seeing it in action (or something very similar), might be helpful, in order to provide a sense for the experience. To that end, I'd like to offer up a few videos so that anybody interested might get a bit of a sense for what this kind of activity is like. Mind you, the Keynote will be MUCH more speaker/audience style, but an add-on workshop as I am visioning could have a feel really similar to what you see in this video, and the other videos on my Improv Alive website.  This is my offer for 90Minds:
    • KEYNOTE: Thinking On Your Feet, an IMPROV-isational Approach to Networking and Creating Personal Connections
    • DURATION: 90-minutes (with optional 2-4 hour advanced networking workshop add-on)
    • COST: $10,000 ($12,000 including additional workshop) + travel & lodging.
*We have spoken about the possibility of 90Minds providing DyNexus a booth, and sponsoring us to attend. This would obviously affect pricing.*
    KEYNOTE BLURB:
Come learn essential skills for building stronger connections, enhancing communication, and navigating networking scenarios with confidence! This keynote address introduces the powerful concepts of active listening, spontaneity, collaboration and trust through interactive and highly-engaging exercises used by theatrical improvisers. You will come away with a set of practical, easily deployable tools for networking and establishing personal connection with anybody in any situation. This presentation is for "regular people" who wish to be more comfortable and effective networkers.

I love this idea as a keynote. It follows the theme from last year's keynote that really seemed to get people out of their comfort zones and have some fun. Also - this ticks a box that I (selfishly) would love to see more of within 90 Minds - internal networking and encouragement of networking. With new members joining, it makes the group feel/appear less cliquey and more inclusive to those new members.
