Hi all - I promised I would share information about Joe Rotella who has been recommended by a couple of members/board members the past two years.  We had been unable to book him due to his busy schedule, but he is available for MOTM 26 and they maybe joining the community as Affiliates as well.

Here is the info I have to Joe for your consideration and review (see links and attachment):

Can everyone review this information for the Keynote Speaker and if you approve, in this thread put YEAH or NAY. If you have a NAY, then have a suggestion.

The request by date is 08/15.

YEAH for Joe Rotella but I suspect he would not come under budget. Worth finding out though. However, if true and since we should have alternates anyway, I typed this below into an LLM prompt to come up with some other possibilities and maybe one of you can fine tune it to get a better list. I kind of like Gene Marks and Diana Kander myself as I've read some of their blog posts before. Gene is nicely small business oriented, an ex-CPA, and has very interesting takes as it relates to operating beneficially in the current presidency and economy. Diana is more of a small to medium sized business coach and emphasizes the importance of innovation and curiosity in the workplace, of how to keep it fresh and evolving. Obviously there are other speaker candidates too.

Prompt: Give me a list of 15 conference keynote speakers with a speaking fee of $10K or less. Emphasize small business oriented speakers.

YEAH for Joe Rotella.  I do like Alnoor's suggestion of Gene Marks.  I also think there are a number of people that Ed and Ron have had on their podcast throughout the years who could be possible candidates.  I would suggest we get a list from Ed and Ron that we could possibly use for future consideration.  FYI, finding a keynote speaker is not something I have done before.

YEAH for Joe Rotella.  I have not looked at Alnoor's additional suggestions.

I'm a "YEA' as well for Joe Rotella. Especially the topic about "Performance Transformation: From Reactive to Proactive Management" - seems very interesting.

I've also reached out to Scott Carbonara via LinkedIn. We both worked at a larger health insurer about 18 years ago. Great guy, smart, funny, and can engage a crowd and keep them engaged. Unsure where it'll lead, but figured he'd be a solid speaker for the crowd.

Scott's Video Clips - Lead to Engage

I will keep the team posted on what his response to my outreach is. I'm unsure what his fee is, but he might be willing to reduce it if I'm the one reaching out (e.g. the ol' "friends and family" discount).

I'm YEAH for Joe as well. @Anne Sawyer is there anything else we need to do for approval or can you run with it from here?

As for the other great additional suggestions, we will need a place to keep those. I'd like to keep a running list with their information so we can add to it throughout the year.

What would be better, a google document or maybe just a post that we can add to?

As much as I would like to see a separate post for this, I think the google document would be best because a post will get cluttered quickly.  At least with a document, we can keep track of everything in an orderly manner.  I'm thinking some of column headings should be Speaker Name, Referred By, Website/URL, Fee Estimate, Date Added.  I am sure there is more information to be recorded, but that should give us enough to create a decent list.
