So it looks like starting in SAGE 100 STD v2017, when you use the
Key File Rebuild Utility the system creates a backup file and adds ABCMMDDYYxxxxxxxx.OLD to the end of the file name. This backup file is created before the Utility runs and that's a good thing. ABC = USER Code. It also looks like if you perform the
Key File Rebuild Utility multiple times a new backup file with ABCMMDDYYxxxxxxx.OLD is saved.
If you are working with large Customer History files or Inventory Transaction files, you can chew up some significant server disk space. Good way to quickly get the attention of an IT technician monitoring the server..
Is there a setting in SAGE 100 STD to limit the number of backup copies saved from using the
Key File Rebuild Utility? Is there a tool in SAGE to delete these files *.OLD when the data corruption problem is solved and to regain the server disk space?
