Just upgraded from 2013 advanced to 2017 advanced. Users remote desktop to a Windows 2016 terminal server. Excel 2010 is installed on the terminal server. When using the ALE and clicking the Excel icon, users receive an Error 88 SY_Excel.pvc.

couple ideas, does it happen to every user? do the users have a role set up that allows them to export ALEs to excel? was excel installed while the terminal server was in ""install"" mode?

IT re-installed Excel in install mode and everything is working fine. Thank you to everyone for all of the great ideas. FYI he didn't use install mode to install Excel on the TS the first time. That was the issue.
