Just thought I'd drop by and say ""Hello!"" Just wrapped up my second year of life after Sage 100, and we're still going strong. I just got back from NetSuite's user conference -- have to say is not quite as fun as Summit, but on the upside, everyone is a native English speaker, so we don't have to #focus as much to understand what's being said. Things I miss: The 90Minds community (obviously), being able to edit the database files directly, ODBC connections, Sage Intelligence, hanging out with @EricAnderson and @MichelleNichols on a regular basis. Things i don't miss: Clients who are still on a version from 15 years ago, installing service packs, and doing upgrades. Hope you all are doing well.

@AaronClark I'd love to hear more -- specifically: a. I think Eide was doing a lot of white labeling for Netsuite - are you still? What percent? b. Do you find that Netsuite work turns into recurring revenue beyond initial project? If so what percent? c. What are the ""hassles"" in the Netsuite world? I think we can agree in the mature Sage 100 world that moving servers, paperless, integrating some other Sage products are high on the list -- what are the counterpart in Netsuite?

@PeterWolf can no longer be considered the trusted authority on the status of @EricAnderson.

NetSuite/Dynamics CRM integration - think about it @AaronClark. I am still alive - that's all @PeterWolf will allow me to say at this point.

So @PeterWolf is a necromancer and has revivified the corpse of @EricAnderson. Well played, Peter. Well played.

I would think necromancy would be a useful skill in the Sage channel. Hey-o!

Sage are the expert necromancers - bringing back MAS 500 and BusinessWorks.

@WayneSchulz -- Sure. a. We were doing a lot of the white label for NetSuite when we started the NetSuite practice. We have one guy left there until the end of June. That's about 5% at this point. b. I do lots of work for existing NetSuite clients. It's all about process improvement and optimization of the system as the businesses grow and change and mature. The companies I work with are high growth companies. In the past quarter, my time has probably been 30% implementation, 50% optimization, and 10% biz dev. The other 10% is spent entering time into an antiquated timesheet system, but that's a separate topic for a different day. :) c. Hassles -- NetSuite's direct sales team is far and away the biggest hassle - they got some huge list with every company that has ever been incorporated and dumped it into their lead database, and we have to fight with them when we engage a prospect who is already on their list. Tech support for NetSuite is *all* in Manila, Philipines, and you never work with the same person twice, it seems, and they don't speak the same dialect of English that we speak here. @EricAnderson -- why would I integrate when I can have a full suite of products that runs on the same database? ;) SFDC has a (strangle) hold on the CRM market for companies who like SaaS, and we do a lot of integrations with them.

If they want to move beyond the internal NetSuite CRM to something more robust, Dynamics CRM is about 1/2 the price of SFDC when comparing apples to apples (similar functionality bundles). FYI - @AaronClark is pretty much a rock star in the NetSuite world! I'm sure none of us that know Aaron are surprised by that.
