Hi Everyone -
I'm sending this via email in case you have not logged into Socialcast in the past few days.
As you know due to growth and the volume of daily emails that were being generated we've fully transitioned from using Yahoo Groups to using Socialcast.
1. If you've not logged into Socialcast recently -- and are having trouble with an account login, etc -- please get in touch with me via email (just reply back). I'll help to make sure your account is configured properly.
We'll start purging old inactive accounts within the next month and anyone who is inactive in Socialcast will also be purged from the 90Minds website.
Active participation is now (and has always been) a requirement for continued membership in 90Minds. We realize that due to schedules not everyone can log in daily or weekly -- however if we've not seen you in a month (or more) it's highly likely that in the near future we will consider your membership dormant and you'll be removed.
The foundation of 90Minds is sharing valuable information with other group members. If you have a question - ask. If you can supply and answer or an update on something the group an benefit from - share. If you're unsure about what type of information to share -- the easiest way to know what is considered valuable is to login regular to Socialcast and observe what other members are sharing.
2. Within Socialcast we are creating a series of groups. You'll find those along the left side panel when you login to
http://www.socialcast.com.
Groups are either public (anyone in Socialcast can join) or private (you have to request to join).
Private groups are beneficial because their content is only viewable to other members of that private group.
All of our groups are presently public. Please add yourself into the ones which you wish to be a member of (view them on the left side of the Socialcast screen) . We will be making the groups private tomorrow which means if you've NOT added yourself as a member to the group you will not see any content in the future or be able to participate in that group without requesting to be added.
Once we've got everyone into private group membership -- be sure your sensitive postings (confidential things you would not want shared outside the group) all go into a private group.
We are contemplating allowing non-members to access Socialcast in the future if we feel they would add value to any collaboration projects that group members are working on.
Any questions let me know.
Tx
