    Just renewed my MAS90/200 Partner Plan with Sage. I was on the Master EES plan, but since Sage is going away from EES there Master plan is the same thing only $500 cheaper. If I hadn't asked about my options I would have been out $500.

    This is very similar to what they are doing with end-users. They are now quoting the top level plan (gold?) and not mentioning that there are other options. Another reason why my clients renew through me...........

    @JeffSchwenk For a while we renewed people as Bronze too. Then gradually I realized (accepted?) that the people Sage is trying to renew as Gold are the Silver people. The Sage explanation is that previously the Silver's had unlimited support so they upped the plan to make it the same. Personally I think it's BS -- but realistically the concept makes sense. So we just started renewing all our silvers at bronze level. There are very few of our customers (maybe 1/2 dozen) who have anything but bronze. For the ones who prefer to have support I'm glad to give them a plan with Sage since they tend to use Sage for all the PITA type questions and call us for projects/thought type things.

    There is another issue here with Sage's approach - they have no clue about third party apps when they connect directly with the client. I've got a couple that received this information and, luckily, contacted me before going forward. With JobOps installed, trouble would have ensued. Many Sage clients are modified in some manner, seems like a dangerous way to handle things...
