Just read the latest e-mail from Himanshu: ""The centralization of R&D, combined with the adoption of a single Sage brand, not only makes us more nimble and focused, but now allows us to consistently solve customer problems across our portfolio."" Appears someone left the medicine cabinet unlocked again.

I will be excited to see some actual progress and change in this area. Until then I will reserve judgement.

Centralized R&D? How many products are being ""centralized""? It sounds more like a mosh pit - jump write in and surf the crowd. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mosh%20pit

What does he mean by ""Integration Contracts"" ? I don't think it's the same as Connected Services because he mentioned those too.

I think -- based on a fast Google search - that Integration Contracts is SDATA One main type of extension is the use of SData in integration contracts. These contracts define the terms and conditions for integration between applications (e.g. what data can be exchanged) and use SData as the enabling technology. Broadly speaking I would think that perhaps this part is going to talk about how they, for example, might get Sage 100/300/500 to talk to Abra HR (or some other non common code based product)

I'm sure we all want to see progress, but feel Sage was much more nimble as Best then the existing structure. Back then, calls were returned and the revolving door didn't spin as fast.

Abra is not strategic anymore... As a matter of fact the 40% of the products that produce 50% of the revenue are not strategic,
