Just in case you get bored over the holiday weekend (@DougHiggs ) v2017 PU 4 ADV on Windows Server 2016 - Having a ""server disconnected"" issue on a new install. Found the attached KB and feel I have ruled out the possible culprits presented. I guess only time will tell. Has anyone else run into this issue and what have been the solutions? Are there possible other culprits? Client also reports that Crystal response time is slow. Have tried the CS ODBC both Service on and off. I have also run into the server disconnected issue on my office Server 2012 R2 running V2018 ADV. For some reason, on this install, it disconnects ONLY when I print v2018 PR checks. If I print PR checks in STD mode, it does not disconnect. Very strange. TIA for the thoughts.

Yep. I am bit bored already. Stirring up some excitement scanning the 90 Minds posts. Is it possible the server that is disconnecting is the cloud server PR 2018 uses... You know the infallible ""connected services""? Potential bandwidth or persistent connection issue. Replace the Comcast router?

I had something similar happen to me on Adv v2016 and we traced at back to a bad network switch. It took 4 wks. to find it bc it was happening so randomly.

Has anyone encountered any issues running v2017 on Server 2016 with a WIN 7 workstation? We are running this ADV install as STD from 7 workstation. For the second time in as many weeks, I have replace the SY_ModuleDate table due to a corrupted record in order for this one particular WIN 7 workstation. Their IT is question whether there is an unknown issue running in this configuration and they want to test a WIN 10 workstation. Was able to get some stability back by configure the ICON to use a mapped drive to the server and run Sage in Admin mode.
