Just got off the phone with a prospect who said he sees Sage as a company made up of acquisitions but the re-branding shows commitment for the long haul. ""Hopefully, they're doing the right things."" Yeah, hopefully!

Wow, so there's at least one person who buys into Sage's bullshit!

Don't worry, they'll have an epiphany once they become a customer. :)

I didn't try to discourage his thinking but that keeps getting harder and harder to do....

My theory is that we're independent consultants - not Sage salespeople. So it's ok to tell it like it is provided we are being paid for that service.

Exactly right, Wayne. And Sage does not see us as their partners. I made the shift a while back to become 100% on the customer's side and 0% on Sage's side.
