Just created a Crystal Report which prints out the number of entries currently in data entry files for AP (invoice entry, manual check entry, check entry), AR (cash receipts, invoice entry), PR (data entry), IM (data entry), BM (production, disassembly), PO (ROG/ROI/Returns), WO (trans entry), SO (invoice data entry), Job Cost (Posting Entry), RMA (receipts entry) and the GL Daily Transaction Register file. Client is using to verify quickly before attempting a period close or Del/Ren/Merge, etc, instead of checking every module manually. If anyone is interested, I have it in 4.3 and 4.5. All you have to do is suppress the report section for those modules your client does not have.

This sounds like the perfect premigration tool. I'm interested too. On another topic, a long time ago, i modified the UDF Maintenance Listing to sort by UDF reather than by Table. This was very helpful to me in analyzing a system that had a bunch of UDFs created by someone else. I got the report to the point where I could get what I wanted but never got it polished up enough to be useable for others. I need to dust it off and try again. Perhaps someone has already done a better job of this.

Here's the 4.5 one again - I added the current period for the modules AP, GL, AR, IM, SO, and PO on a line above the other info (along with the company code). Helpful to make sure period end is being run...

I just check GL renumber, AP renumber, IM Renumber, and AR renumber utilities to tell me any outstanding entries anywhere. But definitely a time saver with one report.
