Just a quick note to let everyone know that this will be my last month as the ""Bookkeeper"" for the group. It has been a great run, but like all things great, it is time to move on to other challenges.
I have thought long and hard whether I wanted to continue with the paid position or pass the torch and dedicate my remaining time as the board treasurer helping to realize our vision.
At the end of the day, it was an easy decision, made even easier by the fact that I should not be taking direction from the executive director while the executive director is following the board's directives. This circular logic does not work in an Excel formula nor does it work for board oversight. An outsider looking in might say it is not good board governance.
And so I challenge both Robert and Jim to the same. Do you wish to remain an unpaid board member or would you rather work on the administrative side, being paid to keep Higher Logic functioning and planning group events? We will be transitioning in early 2019 to the new platform and MOTM 2019 will soon be in the records books. The time is right, the choice is yours!
