Just a little update on life in the ""Suite"" world: Spent last week in San Mateo with NetSuite. From my point of view as a self proclaimed accounting nerd, the application is great. There are strong internal controls, built in workflows, fully integrated CRM, it's very flexible and customizable (almost to a fault), and security appears to be fairly strong. It's pretty easy to sell Downsides include pricing, competition between NetSuite sales team and the VAR team, sometimes slow and unresponsive, and an offshore support group (Manila, Philippines). The biggest weakness in the application that I've found (so far, I might add) is the roles: You can assign different roles to an individual user like we do in Sage 100, but the roles are independent -- there is no layering of roles. So if I log in as Administrator, and I see one application, but when I switch to controller, I see a much different application. I read @WayneSchulz's analysis of the earnings call (https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/16007577?ref=group), and as a CPA, the non-GAAP earnings issue bugs me quite a bit. There's a reason that stock options (and all the other non-cash items) are expensed. I once worked for a (now defunct) construction company who thought that EBITDA was the only metric worth measuring, but then they wondered why they never had any cash (depreciation may not be a cash expense, but investment in replacement assets and interest for financing those assets somehow seemed to suck up all the cash).
