This was a nice update and got to the point quickly. I just went through an SPS ( aka MAPADOC ) with a customer and I found the experience to be very much like what Sam described. Nobody goes into EDI looking forward to the process. Companies typically get into EDI because a big customer or supplier tells them that they are requiring EDI.
The customer who adopted SPS MAPADOC was not completely proactive in their approach so implementation went a little slower than I would have liked which I think that was mostly on the customer side.
I did find that SPS assigned account managers who -- (drum roll) -- actually knew what they were doing and were very effective at pulling in resources when needed. This may have been the most impressive part of the project since with other ISVs I was used to working with account managers who themselves needed to be project managed.
My customer had a fairly low volume but higher dollar type implementation. From the Sage partner side there wasn't a lot to be worried about in terms of installation. I think the provided the SPS consultant with server access and they did most of their own installation.
Attached are my notes from today ( 8/23/23 ) which also has contact info.
