We recently upgraded a customer from Sage 100 4.4 to Sage 100 2022. They are using General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Bank Rec, Job Cost, and Payroll. The data migration went very smooth and the forms and reports were easy to update and adjust.
The one strange thing happening is functionality for Cost Codes entered on Jobs. In 4.4 and all previous versions the customer would set up Cost Codes for their jobs and merely select "All Cost Types" for the Cost Type. After that, the Cost Code could be used for any data entry in Payroll, AP, or JC. Now, unless they specifically enter a Cost Type in the Job Maintenance->Cost Code Detail entry screen, they will receive the following error when trying to enter costs transactions in any module:
"Cost code xxx-xx is inactive for job number xxxx-xxx. Do you want to continue?"
I have read through update information and don't see a change in functionality but, clearly, there is a change.
Any help would be appreciated.
