Job Cost client is interested in automating time entry. They are currently using Sage 100 Timecard and payroll. They want their employees to clock in, enter job # and cost code from a location in the warehouse. We spoke with Sierra but the job cost component does not update on a daily basis and they want that to be more ""real-time"". The challenge seems to be the job cost labor posting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How automated do they want their time entry? Using the Timeclock functionality of TimeCard on a dedicated computer in the warehouse they can use that to clock in, change jobs, etc. with fairly minimal entry by the employees. That data can be posted daily or however often they want via the Job Cost menu of TimeCard.

I believe that @JoeBisaha created JCScan for Job Cost a few years ago.

We have written our own Time Entry programs that feed data to Job Cost, Timecard and Payroll. If interested, here is a link with a video overview. http://comstrategies.com/custom-software-apps/tablet-and-scanning-projects

What @ShariEckersley said. It just isn't automatic is all.
