@JeffSchwenk (or anyone else familiar with the KnowledgeSync KLF access database with the linked tables). Is it possible to add queries to this database? I have a request that would be much easier to deal with if I could run a Crystal report against the summarized queries rather than direct, which would require many subreports and thus be very slow. If so, what is the latest version of Access it can be upgraded to (it appears to be Access 95) and still work with KS?

Sorry, BLS only deals with the Access db license (not MAS with the KLF access db). But based on the workaround used for Business Alerts, I don't see why this wouldn't work. Try it. The worst that can happen is that you have to restore a back up copy. In the FWIW category, this is another big reason why we use Access. We can create queries in Acccess to do all the heavy lifting, then run a crystal for attaching the pdf report.

I found it easier to setup my own Access backend. That way I could add queries and tables at will.

I would recommend that if you use the KLF db, that you ""Link"" to it from an Acess database on which you build your queries and base your Crystal Reports. This way if KS ever upgrades their db then it is an easy swap instead of having to get into the details of the db components to seperate out your additions in order to move forward.

@JeffSchwenk for us KS (KnowledgeSync) novices, could you please spell out BLS and KLF acronyms?

@MoiraGoggin I believe BLS is Bottom Line Software (Jeff's company) and KLF is KnowledgeSync Linking Function from VineyardSoft, the KnowledgeSync company.

Sorry @MoiraGoggin I sometimes lapse into techno babble for which I apologize. It appears that @ThereseLogeais has read the BLS primer on Techno Talk - How to use small madeup words to sound big (and important)!

It's the sex appeal of using a TLA (Three Letter Acronym).

Thank you @ThereseLogeais, appreciate it. Perhaps you'll post the publishable parts of the BLS PTT (Bottom Line Software Primer on Techno Talk)? @RobertWood I looked up TLA under acronymfinder.com, and there are 77 listings, yours would make it 78!

@MoiraGoggin - Just an FYI, BLS is short for Bottomline Software Three letters, two words, one awesome company!

Moira, No worries. You are not the first, and you definitely won't be the last. It is Friday night and I am surprised about the amount of chatter tonight. Isn't Friday night date night?????

@ThereseLogeais It does have a nice ring to it. Maybe a new marketing tag...
