I e-mailed Jeff yesterday, and received the message:

Jeff Scott is no longer with the company. Please reach out to Pragasen.Moodley@sage.com for assistance. Thank you.

My thought was the e-mail was hacked, but I just spoke with him and he has been terminated - after 25 years! I expect announcements from Sage for someone who has dedicated that much time and effort. Apparently not.

Pragasen Moodley will be his replacement based in Atlanta.

I am surprised he stayed this long.  He was very helpful when he was my sales manager (whatever title) 10 years ago.  He was the primary reason I attended the Presidential Circle awards trip back then.

It is that time of the year... When Sage shifts the chairs on the sundeck.  Terminated, not retired? Ouch!

Only mentions the new deck chairs, no mention of those tossed overboard.  I wonder who my new manager will be.  They usually don't last more than 12 months.  Hard to maintain any momentum when they are sent packing so soon.

    Sage organizational announcement

Strengthening our partnership for growth and retention

Our partner channel is one of the most important drivers of success for Sage North America. Together, we've reignited momentum and delivered tremendous progress this past year. To build on that foundation and accelerate even further, we are aligning our leadership team to bring sharper focus, deeper expertise, and greater continuity to our partner business.

Nancy Sperry will continue to lead our US VAR and partner NCA channel with an elevated mandate to scale and deepen our partner ecosystem. Nancy has been instrumental in the resurgence of our partner channel. Her strategic vision-combined with deep industry expertise and tireless advocacy for partners-has laid the foundation for long-term growth. With this enhanced focus, Nancy will continue to open new opportunities, expand collaboration, and create even more value for you.

Rahul Bakshi will be responsible for the in-life partner sales function in addition to his current role leading the US direct in-life sales team. Rahul previously led the channel in Canada with great success and now brings that experience-combined with his proven track record in retention and add-on growth-to the US partner channel. His leadership will help operationalize the in-life function, drive customer retention, and unlock new revenue opportunities.

Joe Sangiuolo will now report to Rahul and continue to work directly with your teams, ensuring a seamless partner experience and ongoing support. Most importantly, Nancy and Rahul will continue to move forward as one team-aligning strategies for acquisition, ecosystem growth, retention, and add-on sales under a shared vision. Together, they will ensure every Sage customer remains a happy Sage customer and that our partners are equipped to drive even stronger results.

With this structure, we are not just sustaining momentum, we are accelerating it by scaling best practices, operationalizing execution, and driving toward high performance.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment. We are confident this alignment will take our shared success to the next level.

    Let's go win together.

The Sage North America Leadership Team

This was a weird organizational announcement. Not signed by anyone. Didn't seem to really have a main point other than maybe reassure people that those named in the email were still with Sage? Not sent by the global channel chief although this would appear to be their domain. Strange.

I remember sitting with Jeff Scott at dinner before the 90 Minds conference. He seemed like one of the most helpful Sage people I've met. He knew a lot about Fixed Assets and seemed like a nice guy. It's sad to see him leave Sage.

Jeff is great people!  I'm sure he will get picked up soon if he doesn't want to hang it up.

I just want to take a moment to say how much I appreciated Jeff. He always took the time to talk things through - no matter how busy he was - and he answered questions with honesty and care. He was one of the few people who really saw the partner community and genuinely cared about doing right by everyone. I think sometimes he carried that responsibility heavily because he cared so much.

It's definitely a loss for Sage. He is a good guy, through and through.

That said, my conversations with Sage are going really well. They've confirmed their commitment as our Diamond Exclusive Partner, and they know the Future conference doesn't include Sage 100 content. They're planning to address that through this group virtually, so stay tuned for more on that front.

The recent announcement felt a little unusual - more like an internal reshuffle than a big leadership change. The phrase "elevated mandate" caught my attention, and I'll be asking for a bit more context.

If you hear of any other departures, please keep me in the loop - you all seem to get the partner announcements before I do! And thank you to everyone who shares them here. It really helps keep us connected and informed.

    Jeff will definitely be missed.
