Why are we still taking calls from our mutual customers about paperless lockfile type issues. Even after loading patches?
Why is the KB such an embarrassing mess -
no ability to tell for what version a KB has been issued for, lots of old outdated KB ( wouldn’t be bad if they were noted as pertaining to a specific version - but they don’t )
Why does nobody answer my emails asking about whether there will be any type of information about what’s coming in 2022 (Why do we need this? Well for starters our mutual customers ask about it so they can judge when and if to upgrade ).
The companies that are the most likely to remain customers also are least likely to let their users have full administrator rights. So why are there still so many requirements to have local administrative rights?
Example,
installing e-Filing ( including when the end user is prompted annually to install form updates). Suggested workaround - bundle this install into the workstation setup and don’t require a consultant or network admin to pick and choose pieces to install. Really, this isn’t hard stuff. This is a really frustrating issue that requires the user to have IT come up to install what the customer perceives as a forms update.
What is the status of Sage intelligence. To my knowledge the latest release is 2015. It doesn’t take a PHD to begin wondering when the product might be discontinued.
Who is the lead Sage 100 contact? Is it marketing? Is it product management? Is it some other person? Why does it seem like no information comes out of Sage? ( talking to three people on this group and keeping it secret does not count IMO )
Should I go on or is this enough to get the ball rolling? Perhaps this is off topic and not what engineering is prepared to address.
