Sage 100

I've had this problem often but never tried hard to do anything about it - on certain machines (mostly Win 8, I think), the Sage icon will not display it's little green self. If you try to change it, it browses right to it, but won't keep when you apply. You just get a white generic icon. What's up with that?

You mean after you select properties then icon and choose the icon it swaps back? I've seen that but mostly mine stick. Always chalked it up to not having proper rights on the machine.

YES!!! Inquiring minds want to know!!! Happens to me on WIN 8 also...

Perhaps we can ask this question during the v2015 ball today....

Only way I have been able to make it stick is to copy the icon file to a local drive. Must have something to do with remote drives, mapped drives, group policies? Not sure.

Had this happen yesterday on a Win 8.1 PC installing Sage 100 Standard 2014 and I also, normally just copy the icon file to the local drive. So I installed the workstation using ""run as administrator"" and the workstation update (all normal standard stuff). Jumped over the the local C drive in the file explorer and noticed the Sage icon installed in the C: directory (and I didn't put it there). I wonder if Sage already knows this and is just throwing the icon out there on the local for you to use? Anybody else have this happen?

Also something semi related, but never spent time on is when you reinstall the workstation, Sage disappears from program files. Still shows installed, so I just uninstall and reinstall. Anyone else get that?

@ClaudiaGallegos Are you referring to the start program Sage folder? If so, that happened to me twice today!!! V2014, PU3 or 4.

I wonder if this is an issue in v2015??
