I've got an end-user adding a new module (RMA) to an existing system Sage 100 standard (level 4.5), run the install and get ""The Installed version of the application could not be determined, set up will now terminate"". It is installed correctly at the server - have talked to Sage - we tried Renamed the Uninstall info folder and ran regcom.exe. Also tried to rename the file: \MAS90\sy\sy_installation.pvc still no luck, I think their next recommendation will be to install to another directory, migrate and convert. Which I don't want to have to do. Has anyone ran into this before? or does anyone one know what setting the install routine is looking for to validate the install level? looked at Sy_System.m4t, but it looked correct for version and level.

Something in the back of my mind -- there is a version 0.0 in some file (SY0CTL, SY_Module, ??)

Found this on Google. Rename C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information to .old or something and then try installing it. You may like to unhide files and folders before renaming above to .old.

checked the registry it's the correct version, don't really see anything in the syoctl or SY_Module that jumped out at me, looked in the Sy_Activation.m4t and found some records associated from a deleted company code that had older version levels, will try deleting these and re-install, will update this post with results

Have a look at the module levels in CI_Options. I've had to fix them there a couple of times.

Did the SY_Activation and cleared out old records with old versions and made sure CI_Options had the correct version, looks like it's a re-install, migrate and convert in my near future or I could wait for a resolution from Sage? Thanks for everyone's input!

I have gotten around this error by renaming the Links folder and the restoring it once the migration is complete.
