I've been contacted by this firm APS for credit card processing for Sage 100 4.4 and 4.5. While I've not had time to delve into this yet, I wanted to share this information with all of you.

Back in February a couple processors contacted people in the community. One was APS the other Century Payment Services. According to at least one source Century was since removed from the Sage Developer program. I don't know what the status is of APS.

I am presuming that anyone who is looking to interface CC processing and take a cut of the transaction fee is on a collision course with Sage.

I would agree, but SPS has been a pain and were not cost competitive in the marketplace. We just dropped them and will save several thousand per year in processing fees and we are not a large credit card user.

@JohnHoyt pointed out, in a recent conversation, that it's not a good idea to have CC processing be SPS exclusively - I suppose from an audit stand point.

There is one thing to be a competitive sole source and another to be ""gouging"". Yes, there is a lot to be said for convenience and security, but what is the price point. Is an extra 5k worth the convenience, 10K? Has anyone implemented v2013 and can verify for those that swipe cards that the cost is lower with v2013?
