Item lookup in Sales Order and Purchase order stops working in v2022

  • 1.  Item lookup in Sales Order and Purchase order stops working in v2022

    Posted 05-23-2023 18:38

Just upgraded a client from version 2020.  In sales order entry, lines tab, if you enter the first 2 or 3 characters of the item code and press F2, nothing appears.  I have tested on my own system in ABC company and it's the same.  It works fine in v2019, v2020, and v2021, but not v2022.  Please help, this is semi-urgent.

    Works for me.

I wonder if somehow the enhanced search index was run / activated.

Not working for me.  Are you using v2022?

Kevin - thanks for your help.  I have more information.  If you have no customized lookup at all - it works!  But as soon as you create a new one - it stops working.  Give that a try, please.

Like this?  I already had a custom lookup (from previous testing).

    Kevin -
In further testing, I am now able to get custom lookups to run as well.  Not sure what the original issue was.  As mentioned, it did work in PO, just not SO, for both the client and me.  Doesn't make sense.  I will post more as I figure out more.  Thanks again.

The only idea I have is someone setting a filter on the default view.  That's usually fairly easy to notice though...

It even works if I override the whole lookup:

Client now running Sage 100 v2022.3 Advanced.  Actual it works fine in purchase order entry.  Just does not work in Sales Order entry or SO Invoice entry.

Check for bad 1st record in SO Header file. It seems to me I came accross this one before and that was the issue. Can't be positive though.
