Oh Beth I was so hopeful to find a record in that file, but no such thing. I guess I need a developer to chime in and look at the code to explain WTH it is looking at to give that message. I don't want to merge this item into another, dummy item. I hate having to do that because then all historical SO, PO and AR records have the new dummy part number on the history detail record. Before I tried the delete item utility, I ran the utility to purge IM transactions through a certain year, and when you do that if an item's net transactions are zero, it doesn't write out an IX record. So in this case, the item had transactions before I ran the purge transactions utility, and after it has none. In this instance I would think Sage would let you delete the item because there is no transaction trail for it. I'm trying to help my client pare down their 40,000+ inventory masterfile and this roadblock is preventing me. :(

Subject: Item Delete/Change Utility: No Action - Item Found on a Sales Order
@Jane Scanlan - What about this file? I've found discrepancies between it and the actual SO_SalesOrderDetail file before.
