It would appear that the Sage 100 renewal folks are apparently not ""in the know"" when perpetual clients move to Sage 100c. A client just forwarded an email from a Sage renewal employee explaining all of the bad things that could happen to them if they didn't renew their Sage 100 Plan, including not being able to purchase new Sage 100 modules or Sage 100 users licenses, and that they needed to renew their plan immediately or they might not be able to use the software with full functionality. (It says that - they might lose functionality if they don't renew their Sage 100 plan.) The client's Sage 100c plan doesn't expire until May of 2019, while their perpetual plan...has indeed...expired. More admin work for us - both to convince the client they are NOT expiring and then to get Sage to understand that they really need to check on perpetual renewals to make sure the client hasn't moved to Sage 100c. Sage is really not helping themselves in the customer service area doing these kinds of things.

Sage needs a software upgrade. Or perhaps they need to pay their maintenance renewal, because their system has stopped working.

Kriti Sharma, VP of Artificial Intelligence at Sage (UK), needs to fast track their efforts to apply it to customer service. I'm sure Pegg would be an improvement.

It's incredible that a software company can't track licenses, expiration dates, or provide an online ordering/invoicing portal for at least the consultants to use. It is a disgrace.

Amen. Left hand continues to not know what the right hand is doing. We closely monitor renewals to work on behalf of our clients and the time waste is enormous.

I get to send a client an invoice for DocLink renewal that Sage missed back in July. They sent me a notice last week which the detail lines did not even add to the total. They finally corrected (working with a Businessworks advisor?) And she had the audacity to ask if I was ready for an invoice on the last day of the month......

Did everyone get the November 2018 price lists and order forms with the new margins and whatnot? I got some this week and they're on MySageSell, but I can put them here if anyone needs. Sales by terror. Great idea. There's a huge difference between 'You won't get to have the 100c-only functionality or new features"" and ""You will LOSE functionality"" if you don't upgrade. I would hope Sage phrased it like the former and not the latter.

@RhondaMcNamara - I have the email from the Sage Employee. He was only talking about renewing the perpetual license, and how the company ""might lose functionality"" if they didn't renew the perpetual license, as well as not being able to add users or additional modules. So - sadly -there was no mention of Sage 100c anywhere in the email. And I totally agree: Sales By Terror...
