It won't be long before the headline could be ""Entire Sage BPAC joins Netsuite channel"". No wonder Sage is rumored to be rethinking BPAC. http://www.prweb.com/releases/2015/02/prweb12496706.htm

One would hope that they are rethinking their entire channel strategy of the past four plus years to figure out how to stop the tide of defections....

It's bull. The reason partners are picking up other software is BECAUSE Sage has pushed us away. So for Sage to use partner actions to rationalize further poor choices is a comedy of errors. (I realize there are other reasons to pick up other software but a primary driving factor is the cold fish attitude fostered under the current regime.)

@PeterWolf I don't see this issue as it relates to Sage CRM, have you? The upcoming release looks promising, and it seems to compete well. If this were not true, I would expect you would be picking up Sugar CRM. Here is what I have been experiencing with CRM. We have some customers and prospects who have been using SalesForce. Their initial comment is that they're fine with it, and one COO told me NOT to mention Sage CRM to the CEO, because they were happy with SF. I conveniently forgot, and they admitted they didn't love SF and it was expensive. They are now ready to convert to Sage CRM. Similar results at other locations. I also remember David Beard saying that 50% of the Sage CRM installations are standalone. So it seems to me that the potential is very promising.

I'm not talking about the individual products here John. I'm talking about the general feeling that it's Sage vs the channel or, from what I've heard, the Sage impression that all the ills are the fault of the channel. We can discuss Sage CRM in a separate thread. FWIW, 50% of implementations being standalone is skewed data. I can share more details but don't want to threadjack this thread.

OK, in line with this discussion, we are not experiencing the general feeling of Sage vs. the channel. Perhaps it's because we're in their back yard, but for the present most is positive.
