It takes one of our customers 2 and a half hours to copy over their company code to a test company within Sage Company maintenance from the server. The modules copy within a reasonable time. It seems to ""hang"" on copying Business Insights. Even if we deselect Business Insights, it will copy it and takes over an hour. They have ACS multi-bin and Insynch. It is a large file. (21 Gig) Would this be expected for this size file or is there something I should check??

I've not experienced what you've described, yet wonder if the server is maxing out the process, i.e. it will only allow 25 or 50 percent of the CPU on the server. Given that the company is so large, it is just taking a long time.

I have a feeling although not positive it may be Enhancement-related. I seem to recall having this issue for a particular client a ways back who had some Enhancements (DSD?) and I believe it too would hang on BI, or maybe it hung on B/R; I never had a chance to look further into it. Although a 21gb file would certainly cause a seemingly normal company copy to take much longer than normal as it's essentially just copying files.

I have the same with a customer. From my tests it appears that the files are finished copying a lot sooner but for some reason the screen hangs on the Business Insights module. I went out to the network folders and compared file sizes and they are the same but the message stays up even though no files are being copied or updated. Couldn't tell you why. I just leave it and it does go away at some point. This customer also has ACS Multi-Bin but not Insynch

I have seen the same thing. I think it was with a client with ACS Multi-Bin, Website Pipeline, Starship. When I do company copies, I even deselect Business Insights, but during the copy, I see the message that it's copying BI, and the copy time is long.
