Sage 100

It seems that I cannot download FRx Sp 11 from the Sage Support site any more. They suggest that I call the 800 number which then goes to MAS90 Sales. Does anybody know where I can get that SP. I need it to load FRx 6.7 on a Windows 7 machine. Any other tips for installation on a Windows 7 machine would be very helpful.

Sage took all the FRx product updates off the Sage site per Microsoft.

Hopefully not 64 bit as it does not appear that FRX is compatible with Windows 7 64. Just had a question on that earlier this week in Socialcast.

Thanks Jim, i was able to download no problem. i will see if it helps. It is not 64 bit. the first error message I received was that I need is to have MS dot net 1.1 installed. Win 7 will not allow that. I am also receiving a MSXML.dll error. Windows 7 will not allow me to install that. Win 7 already has more current versions of noth of those and doesn't seem to want to go back to older technology.

I wrestled with a WIN 7 32 bit install last spring. Finally had to get Sage tech support to resolve. It ended up that I could not skip directly to the SP11 update. We had to install from the CD, then install the three SP's linearly. FRx then worked without issue.

I have 6.7.8. I just downloaded 6.7.11 from Jim. Do you have the other two or know where I can get them?

I think there is some help on the Internet on this topic. Google the error messages. I have the other sp's if necessary.

I Googled it and found some additional resolutions. i will try, but they all say must have Sp 11 linearly. So if you don't mind i would love to get my hands on SP 9 & 10 if you have them.

run FRx on a virtual XP session on your Win7 box. Add the XP machine to the domain. that is most reliable.

I just ran into this issue with the MSXML.DLL -- found that following Michael's path worked -- in our case we had to install msxml FIRST before we put in the SP9, SP10, SP11 patches for FRX. It actually works if we did all the SP's (9,10,11) but forgot to load MSXML and went back and did MSXML and only had to do SP11. Here is a download to the MSXML I used -- and put a copy in Sugarsync in the FRX patches section just in case the link goes dead. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=15697 SP9, SP10, SP11 are all in the Sugarsync file storage. This was Windows 7 32 Bit There were some intermediate errors that came up with SP10 but we entered through and it seemed to test ok.
