Sage 100

IT is asking if Modify permissions are sufficient for Sage 100 Standard. I have always recommended Full Control, they are pushing back. Am I incorrect, is Modify sufficient?

Are you sure that modify is sufficient? Wouldn't that eliminate the ability to delete and create files. Users would need to delete and recreate .WRK work tables. I would push for FULL control

I would not recommend that IT set everyone to full control. I think that is what opens things up to crypto viruses if they make user group on the domain and just give users in that group full control they might be more receptive. they just have to remember to add new Sage100 users to that group going forward.

Install from UNC instead of a mapped drive and crypto has less of a chance to find the Sage files.

According to IT the only difference is the ability to set permissions, which shouldn't be required.
