  • 1.  Issue with A/R Invoice Expansion Conversion Utility

    Client decided to run this on their own yesterday morning, wanted to expand from 7 to 20 characters. Recently did an upgrade for them from 2022 Advanced to 2025, PU 1. Warehouse Automation and Mobility from Scanco are the only mods.

    Starts with "File XXXXXX not found", which appears to be while converting BC_HeaderRejection (screenshots below).

    Info shows "Error 12 in Program CI_ARINVOICEFMTCONV_UTL.PVC at line 0431".

    We have suggested they restore from backup as the live company is unable to create new A/R Invoices or pull data from AR_InvoiceHistoryDetail. I know why, it is because that table shows only 7 characters for the Invoice Number field, even though History Header shows 20.

    Bummer.  This is why a test company exists....  

    Will be interested in hearing what the issue was/is.  Perhaps the Scanco/Endpoint Enhancement??

    Thanks @Jeff Schwenk - you are dead on, and since I didn't want to keep you in suspense.. :-D 

    We did restore from backup and EndpointAS got back to us right away with a replacement for the CI_ARINVOICEFMTCONV_UTL.PVC program.

    We will test it after the new year as they don't want their business to be interrupted during their busy season (also, I think they're a little upset over the whole incident).

    And yes, next time they know to run it in a copy company first.
