Sometimes the Sage Integration Engine setup seems like an unneeded step during the initial installation. If you don't plan on integrating to any Sage products it seems like a waste of time. However, I can't see how it can be skipped during install.
The business reason that this can become an issue:
a. In some instances, the IT department provides an unattended login ( such as GoToAssist ) where the password is saved in the remote unattended and not shared with us. When we hit the integration engine prompt we must presently wait for IT to login and supply the credentials.
b. Some IT are reluctant to provide an ADMIN level account to run this service
c. Some IT are reluctant to run ANY extra unneeded services on their server ( for security reasons )
d. Many times the initial install happens after hours and stopping to gather a login ( sometimes IT doesn't want to share credentials - hence their setup of remote unattended where they enter the password ahead of time ) -- which just delays our work as we then have to stop and wait for someone to login to the server desktop and provide the password.
Soooo - am I missing some way to skip this pesky integration engine credential prompt?
