Is there any way to set the Inventory Balancing Utility (under Pre-Migration utilites) to select ALL WH codes or do I have to run each one (191 in this case) separately?

The help for the balancing utility says you have to run it one warehouse at a time.

I wonder if the old IMZ utility would still work for you? Doesn't it do the same thing? Thinking aloud.

How about dumping the detail into Excel, do a pivot table, then compare the results to the on hand total quantity by warehouse??? Just thinking very out loud.....

Sounds like it is close to Miller (er, Polygamy) time. Too much to think about.

I'm not as worried about getting the report, but running the fix utility for each WH code - 191 times. And yes, It's Polygamy Porter, or maybe Hop Stoopid time!

I looked at IMZBL1 in v4.2 and it allows all warehouses to be chosen.

That is what I am getting at with the Pivot. Might take a bit to set up, but you can quickly pinpoint which warehouse need to have the fix run for.

so i can run IMZBL1 in version 4.3 and basically correct the WH quantity variances all at once for all WH's, right (backup first)?

doesn't IMZBL1 look at WH detail and Item Cost, which is different from the 4.4 and up inventory WH balancing utility (which looks at transaction qty)?

The IMZBL1 utility report shows costing file (IM3) and WHSE file IM2. It lets you choose either one but it applies that choice to every item you've chosen for the report which you choose by item number and product line.

turns out there are only 45, not 191 Wh codes that need balancing - thank goodness. Just going to do it the old fashioned way, one by one

Choose one of the above: - 1. Custom programming, 2. Ask Alnoor, 3. Give up and run the program 191 times.

I alway just bite the bullet and so it. I have 70 one time. The key is to only have to do it once.
