    Hi Larry, I have not seen a utility that would renumber Job Cost.

    Not that I know of @LarryBradford - but a follow-up question, what is changing in the cost code? Are you expanding a segment, changing a segment or...?

    The client setup about 2 months ago and manually entered some transactions (they do not wish to reenter. We want to shorten the length and renumber. It can be done with VI but there are several files impacted so it could be done with VI with risk...

    It could be done with VI and Access - but if you have postings outside of JC to integrated modules, AP, AR, etc. it will be extensive work. I'd go with the suggestion to create new cost codes and de-commission the old ones. It won't help with the length issue though.
