Sage 100

Is there an issue in Sage 100 Standard 2014 PU 5 where the paperless document won't auto-appear. Specifically user is stating that they do not see the invoice preview but I see it in paperless folder and it shows up under the AR as an open invoice.

We saw something similar at this same version (not sure about PU, though) but it was with a standard register during the sales journal update process. For whatever the reason, the reports would not display on screen. We simply copied the reports from a stock test system and put them in place and they worked. We were guessing something during the conversion process messed up. Very strange. Perhaps you could simply copy the old form back over top and re-convert it to the latest version???

These are invoice data forms. Good info. I'm pretty sure everything is updating and viewable in the register - just to auto-preview. Sage KB not very helpful.

Try testing it with a new Standard Form Code to see if it will at least auto-preview. Of course, I am telling you what you already know. :-)

I believe only Journals and registers auto-preview, not forms or reports.

OMG! You are absolutely right, @BarbaraGoldstein. I need to go back to sleep!

@BarbaraGoldstein do you know if that's new 4.3 to 2014? They are coming at this as if they were used to seeing a preview.

@WayneSchulz I don't recall them ever previewing, even as far back as 4.3.

Thank you - I'm asking the user for a few more details. I'm wondering if she forgot to ask for a paper copy in addition to email.

Just love it when mirages appear when doing an upgrade - It ALWAYS worked this way in the old system.....

Turns out this was the exact issue. User was printing invoices for customers who only got electronic delivery.
