Does Sage even know? Not due for release until March. JO Lite, bank links, that time tracker app, more PR fixes? A quick win to show us they still look at the idea web site?

I hope they release one prior to the customers getting a download email.

Anyone come across this document yet?  Btw, Linda Cade said v2019 is slated for release on April 2nd, with PU1 coming in June.

{bump}  Is the only thing we have currently re: v2019 new features just what Sage presented (ppt) at MOTM?  Is there no 'What's New', pre-release doc, etc.?

April 2nd release of 2019 - originally they told us Friday, March 29th. I wish they wouldn't dance around it and release it on April 1st, the traditional day of practical jokes and spreading of hoaxes. 2019 should have been released back in October - December as done in the past with a separate Production Management release when it is ready.

Below are my rough notes (with 6 attachments, not just the one image that shows below in my post although I just realized you can scroll thru the images there) re: v2019 from the conference:

    • April 2nd v2019 release
      • June = pu1
    • when user receives message that a record is in use or module is in use, there will be a more/info button that will let you know who the culprit is.
    • MUCH enhanced system activity log.
    • Sounds like sage is rolling in ability for dfdm for sage 100 prem
    • 2019.1    expected to have click-to-pay functionality??????????
    • v2018.5+   you can upgrade/update payroll without having to upgrade whole Sage 100 system. So when v2019 comes out...
    • v2018.6+   enhanced p/r data entry audit report, i.e. portrait (landscape)/condensed options, and I think also check register and check history
    • and also sort option for p/r ck printing
    • w/o and mrp going to framework, along with the introduction of Sage Production management (see attachments, which includes 'available extensions', although I believe that functionality all exists already, and that this is just sage re-packaging it):
      • sage has re-branded mfg, i.e. it appears sage manuf is becoming sage production mgmt., incl w/o and mrp.
      • Looks to have similar functionality as jobops (sage manuf), along with some new features (attached)
      • And it sounds like the user licensing for this doesn't need to match the standard sage 100 user license
    • Paperless enhancements

And – being able to print in Portrait Mode for certain Payroll reports, including the Data Entry Report, Employers Expense Summary and Check Register.

Plus – being able to print checks by last name, or department, or...several other options!

Thanks, @Beth Bowers.  And just to clarify, it appears 2.19.3 (unless Sage's slide was wrong) will include 'Employer Contributions on checks' and 'ability to auto-reverse checks outside of current qtr', along with some other features (see attached).  I also included a few other related ppt slides.

So..... Sage makes a big stink about how they are creating this new payroll that can be installed independent of Sage 100 version .... yet they require the current version of Sage 100 in order for you to install the latest version of Payroll ( as seen on Brett's second slide ).

Edit: Ok, so technically you only have to get to 2018.5 and by the time 2.19.2 releases 2018.6 and 2019 will be out but seriously .... I think that violates my understanding of what a separate payroll release should bring to the table. IMHO, you should be able to install Payroll to 2018.0.

Am I missing something here or does this completely remove the entire concept of a separate payroll release?

By the way --- 1,000% crickets chirping for me on ANY followup info from Batman and Robin. I asked about the latest Customer Upgrade guide <g class="gr_ gr_113 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del" id="113" data-gr-id="113">was</g> well as an updated Atlanta agenda.

Radio silence (which I completely expected). I sit with them at MOTM and they act like they cannot wait for me to leave. I guess someone else will have to schmooze them to see if they snap to life post-MOTM.

While they are building in new functionality (eg JC / Time Track), PR is not stand-alone.
However, Sage marketing material does not rely on reality for pesky "facts".  If it sounds good on the surface, they will say it... truth is not a limitation.

I too had e-mailed Linda (this past Monday), inquiring about the availability of the v2019 'What's New' doc / pre-release doc.  Then I sent follow-up e-mail yesterday morning, but still no response.  Her Tuesday 'Road Ahead' session/ppt (attached) does include some details about v2019 features (incl specific mention of .1, .2, and .x/future), but it doesn't quite specifically say what's coming with the initial release - although is the assumption that's the "Coming in 2019" slides?  And if so, it doesn't look too enticing.

Nope. There was nothing released to us about that. And I don't know if there will be. Since they aren't giving us source for two years. I wish I had at least an installer for Production Management so that I could start testing our products with it but nothing yet. What is the expected released date now?

I haven't been on those since the first one. Is the April 2nd a general release? I thought they were supposed to be providing a pre-release installer to developers / partners before the general release. I'll email Sage today to ask but typically 90Minds seems faster at responses so ....LOL
